Church management software you own
people, groups, attendance and giving in one app

Households, small groups, Sunday attendance, giving by fund with yearly statements, volunteer shifts and a page for every member are already built. Anything your church does differently, you ask for in plain English.

What's in the app

People and households

Member numbers, contact details, birthdays, member since, and status from visitor to member. Families share a household and an address. Bring your list from a spreadsheet.

Small groups and ministries

Youth group, worship team, Bible studies, each with leaders and members. A group leader sees only their own groups, not the whole directory or the giving.

Events and attendance

Services, studies and events with RSVPs (going, maybe, can't go) and an attendance checklist, for everyone or for one group.

Giving records and statements

Record tithes and offerings by person and fund: general fund, building fund, missions. Each person gets a yearly giving statement you can print, with your own note at the bottom.

Volunteer shifts

Greeters, nursery, parking: shifts with how many people are needed. Members sign up and withdraw from their own page, and staff can fill the gaps.

A page for every member

Each person sees their groups, upcoming events with RSVP buttons, open shifts and their giving statement. Roles for administrators, staff, group leaders, a read-only auditor and members.

How it works, in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Start from this page

Click “Make it your church's app”. The church management starting point is picked and your first message is already written.

  2. 02

The app runs in about a minute

Refinar builds the app with sign-in, pages and a real database, and shows it in a live preview where you try everything.

  3. 03

Change it by asking, then launch

Ask for changes in plain sentences, like a prayer request list or a field for baptism date. When you launch, the code and the database are yours.

Why no per-member pricing

Most church software charges by the number of people in the database, so the bill grows with the congregation. This app belongs to your church and has no price per person or per giver: 80 people or 800, it is the same app.

What you pay for is the Refinar plan: building and changing the app uses credits, and the amounts are on the pricing page.

What it doesn't do

It records giving; it doesn't process it. There is no online or text giving, no card payments, no children's check-in with labels, no background checks and no email or text messaging. Giving statements add up the gifts you recorded; what they can be used for at tax time is your church's call, written in its own note.

Questions

What does church management software do?

It keeps your people, households and groups in one place, tracks attendance and events, records giving by fund and helps schedule volunteers. This app does all of that, plus a page where every member sees their own groups, events and giving.

Is there free church management software?

The live demo is free to look around without an account. Your own app is created with a Refinar account, and building and changing it uses credits from your plan. There is no per-member or per-giver fee; the amounts are on the pricing page.

Can members give online?

No. The app records gifts that came in by check, cash, card or your existing online giving tool, by person and fund, and adds them up on each person's yearly statement. Connecting an online giving provider would be a change you ask for, with that provider's account.

Can I import an existing member list?

Yes. Save your spreadsheet as CSV and import it: first name, last name, email, phone, birthday and member since are recognized, with dates like 3/15/1985. Rows with problems are listed by row number.

Who can see giving records?

Only administrators, staff and the read-only auditor. Group leaders see their groups, not giving or the full directory, and members see only their own information and their own giving statement.

Does it handle volunteer scheduling?

Yes, with shifts that say how many people are needed, tied to an event or on their own. Members sign up from their page, and staff can add or remove people. Hour tracking, reminders and background checks are not built in.
